In 2015, there were approximately 712,000 Coloradans 65 or older. In 2030, that number increases 68% to more than 1.2 million Coloradans 65 or older. Due to advances in public health and medical care, this is expected to be a permanent demographic shift as current and future generations of Coloradans live into later life.
