 How Do I Sign Up For Meals?

  • To be eligible for Meals on Wheels meal delivery, you must:

    • Be homebound and unable to shop or cook for yourself due to a physical or mental limitation, or recent hospitalization

    • Live in Loveland, Berthoud, Masonville, or other surrounding areas in southern Larimer County

    • Be 60 years of age or older, or under 60 living with a disability

  • Clients Age 60 or Older

    Due to funding through the Older Americans Act, meals are available to clients age 60 and older on a voluntary contribution basis. Suggested per meal contributions are individually determined at time of intake.

    No older adult is ever denied service based on an inability to contribute.

    Clients Under Age 60 Living with a Disability

    Clients under age 60 are strongly encouraged to contribute towards meals. SSI paperwork will be requested at start of service and kept on file at MOWLB.

  • When are meals delivered?

    Monday–Friday
    Anytime between 11am–1pm

    Are the meals delivered by volunteers?

    Yes, in addition to receiving a warm, nutritious meal, our volunteer drivers make sure our clients are safe, along with a warm smile and a friendly hello. Volunteer drivers report back to the Meals on Wheels staff with any potentially unsafe situations. You should have the same volunteer each day of the week with the exceptions of drivers being sick or out on vacation.

    Does Meals on Wheels close for any Holiday?

    Yes, closed for Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

    How do I get frozen meals and how often are they delivered?

    Call our office and inform them you would like frozen meal. Clients may order additional frozen meals for evenings and weekends. They are delivered once a week.

    If I won’t be home during delivery time, what should I do?

    Please call our office as soon as possible to cancel your meal or arrange a pick up at our offices. Drivers will not leave meals outside your home.

    Are there any special diets available?

    • No concentrated sweets

    • Modified texture diets

    • No Nuts

    • No Pork

    • No Fish

    • Lenten

    What can I expect with my meals?

    Each meal provides ~650 calories and one-third of the adult daily recommended dietary allowance including protein, starch (potato, rice, noodles, etc.), vegetable, fruit, bread, and milk or juice.

Please note that you must speak with a Client Specialist before meal delivery can begin. The form below will initiate that process.

Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud (MOWLB) serves anyone living in southern Larimer County with limited ability to shop for food and prepare their own meals due to a physical or mental disability, age or illness. Meals may also be delivered to anyone recovering from surgery or hospitalization.

Our program is available to all people regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or income.
