Celebrating 55 Years of Service and Community — Meals on Wheels of Loveland & Berthoud

Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud kicked off a year long celebration with a week of community-centric and connection-building activities that align with the purpose and mission of the 55 year old organization.

Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud began as a community project with the idea of bringing together caring individuals and community organizations, to help support homebound and isolated individuals through daily meal deliveries and conversations. This work was celebrated along with the supportive community that has made it possible for 55 years during the Open House celebration, held at the downtown location on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

This festive event was attended by current and former staff, current and former volunteers, community partners, current clients, past client families, other nonprofit organizations, and city dignitaries. Guests were able to visit with old and new friends, dine on a delicious nacho bar provided by the Meals on Wheels Kitchen Staff with help from Senor Rafael at the Mexican Inn, and tour the downtown facility where meals are created and delivered from.

One event does not seem enough to fully celebrate 55 years of service and community partnerships! The open house event was the kick-off to a year-long celebration, highlighting Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud as a reliable, strong, and dedicated organization. March for Meals month-long celebration of the Older Americans Nutrition Act. Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud will have a variety of celebratory events planned in honor of this important federal legislation!
Meals on 4th - Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud’s Premier Fundraising event is set to take place on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Tickets will go on sale on May 1st!
