Service, Meals, and Meaningful Connection

Our Executive Director, Jeffrey Pomranka, had the opportunity to spend time with the Loveland Lions Club, sharing an update on Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud and the impact of our work throughout the community.

The conversation centered on a simple but powerful idea: while we deliver meals each day, what we are really delivering is human connection. Every knock on the door brings nourishment, a friendly visit, and the reassurance that someone in our community cares. For many of our clients, that brief moment of connection can be the highlight of their day and a vital link to the world around them.

Jeffrey spoke about how Meals on Wheels uses home-delivered meals as a way to connect people. How the meals and connection are helping older adults remain independent, reducing isolation, and strengthening the fabric of our community. It was a meaningful discussion about service, dignity, and the role each of us can play in making sure no one feels forgotten.

We are especially grateful to the Loveland Lions Club for their generous $2,000 donation in support of our mission. Their continued partnership helps ensure that nourishing meals and caring connections reach neighbors throughout Loveland and Berthoud.

Together, we are truly more than a meal.
